I am in the process of rebuilding a 1971 Opel GT - from the ground up. It is basically a "frame off" restoration / rebuild except the body is integrated with the frame. The pictures will be posted in the photo gallery with updates on the BLUE 71 OPEL GTpage listed at the top. I will be adding text as I move along with the project. I still have more to do like replacing the door window seals, adjusting the headlights, and a few odds and ends, and then a new paint job.
The engine is an original Opel GT 1.9 upgraded to a 2.0 with a mild Isky performance cam and 2.0 big valve head from OGTS, sprint header, and more power! I'll use a 38DGAS weber carb and keep the 4 speed I got from a Manta with only 3900 miles on it.
Check out the photos. I had to many so I had to just put in the latest ones showing the finished work. Enjoy.
